FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS…
How much does a website cost?
Website cost depends on what your business actually needs and not just how it looks. A simple one-page site might start at a few hundred dollars, while a strategic, lead-generating website with SEO and branding can range from $2,000–$5,000+. Most of my clients are investing in something that actually brings in business, not just something that “exists” online.
Is Wix or WordPress better for small businesses?
Although WIX is a great platform for a DYI, the limitation is that it is proprietory, meaning that you don’t actually own your site, you are renting it and you can’t transfter it to another platform. (Think apples to oranges, it doesn’t work.) This is why I love the WordPress framework. You can literally at the push of a few buttons have a backup copy of your site, and easily transfer it to another hosting company.
Do I need a website if I have social media?
Absolutely yes! Here’s why: you don’t own your social media platforms. Accounts can be restricted, hacked, or deleted overnight. Your website is your home base where you control your brand, your content, and your customer journey.
What makes a website convert visitors into clients?
It’s not just design. A high-performing website combines clear messaging, strong calls to action, mobile optimization, fast load speed, and SEO. If your website isn’t converting, it’s usually a strategy problem—not just a design issue.
How long does it take to build a complete website?
Most websites take 4–8 weeks from start to launch. The biggest factor isn’t the design, it’s content, feedback, and how quickly decisions are made. I guide my clients through the process so it stays smooth and doesn’t drag out for months.
What if I can't afford a website right now?
I understand that a website is an investment, so I offer flexible payment options to make it more manageable while still delivering high-quality work.
Do I need a blog?
I encourage all of my clients to have a blog on their website. What this does is show dynamic content to the search engines that crawl Google. Blogs are also friendly pieces of information that your viewers can read to get to know your business better.
What makes a website actually bring in clients?
It’s not just great design. A high-performing website combines clear messaging, strong calls to action, mobile optimization, fast load speed, and SEO. If your website isn’t converting, it’s usually a strategy problem, not just a design issue.
What is SEO and do I need it?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helps your website show up when people are searching for your services. Without it, your website is basically invisible. Even basic SEO can make a huge difference in how often you’re found online.
Why isn’t my website showing up on Google (or AI search)?
This usually comes down to a few things: lack of keyword-rich content, no structured data, weak page titles, or not enough authority signals across the web. I help clients fix these issues so their site becomes discoverable and not just pretty.
What is AI search and why does it matter?
AI search tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI results are changing how people find businesses. Instead of clicking links, users are getting direct answers. That means your website needs to clearly answer questions and not just promote your services.
Can I just build my own website with Wix or Canva?
Absolutely yes! Many people get started this way. The difference is strategy. DIY websites often look good but don’t perform well because they’re missing structure, messaging, and SEO. If you want results, not just a website, having guidance makes a big difference.
Why should I hire you instead of using a template?
Templates are a great starting point, but they don’t think for you. I help you clarify your message, structure your site for conversions, and make sure it’s actually working for your business and not just sitting online.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. I understand that a website is an investment, so I offer flexible payment options to make it more manageable while still delivering high-quality work.
Do you work with businesses in Salem, Oregon?
Yes! I work with local businesses throughout Salem and the surrounding areas, as well as clients remotely. I love helping local entrepreneurs stand out and grow their visibility in our community.
What types of businesses do you work with?
I work with entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits who want to elevate their presence and attract more clients. Many of my clients are service-based businesses looking for a stronger online foundation.
What makes Mi Dia different from other web designers?
I combine design, creativity, strategy, and media experience. That means your website isn’t just visually appealing, it’s built to be seen, understood, and remembered. I don’t just build websites, I help build visibility.
What does “I put your Mi in your Media” mean?
It means your business shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. Your brand should reflect you, your voice, your energy, and what makes you different. I help bring that out so your audience actually connects with your message.
What happens after my website launches?
Launch is just the beginning. I offer ongoing support, updates, and content strategies to keep your website fresh, relevant, and working for your business over time.
